Ben and his friends are day-dreaming about what they want to be when they grow up. John wants to be a teacher, Rachel wants to be a Taekwondo master, and Dixie wants to be a doctor. Ben says he wants to fly just like his father and everyone is sure he means his dad is a pilot. Ben says his daddy is strong, gentle, fierce, and fast. To Ben, his father is more than just a dancer—he can fly! Written by American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Thomas Forster and Shari Siadat, My Daddy Can Fly! is a heartwarming story enhanced by spirited illustrations by Jami Gigot.

Thomas Forster is a principal ballet dancer for American Ballet Theatre. He trained at the Elmhurst School of Dance and the prestigious Royal Ballet Upper School in England, before building his career with American Ballet Theatre. Tom lives in New Jersey with his wife and son.

Shari Siadat is an author, dancer, model, and activist, whose work focuses on identity, beauty standards, and movement as a mechanism for self-discovery.

American Ballet Theatre is headquartered in New York City and revered as a cultural institution and national treasure. Founded in 1940, its mission is to create, present, and extend the great repertoire of classical dancing for the widest possible audience.
